Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility in California)
- Previous experience working in a K-12 school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills & ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain documentation
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs using standardized tools
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct therapy sessions, both individually and in small groups
- Consult with teachers, families, and other professionals regarding student progress
- Maintain accurate records and prepare timely progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and staff collaborations
- Educate and empower teachers and caregivers with strategies to support student success
