Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility) in New Mexico
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or CFY candidates with strong skills considered
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but motivated new graduates welcome
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for empowering students, partnering with teachers, and collaborating with families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver therapy to students with a variety of communication needs (articulation, language, fluency, voice, and more)
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and other professionals to support students’ academic and social success
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records of services and outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions
- Provide education and resources to families and staff regarding communication and language development
