Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Prior experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and implement targeted therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy and support for students with a range of speech and language needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate with teaching staff and families to support students’ communication skills across settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based planning and problem-solving
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your clinical skills and strategies
