Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Pawtucket, Rhode Island

This contract position involves conducting two 45-minute sessions per week with a student whose unique needs require compassionate, skilled care.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- State licensure for Speech-Language Pathology (or ability to obtain)
- Previous experience in pediatric settings, especially within schools or home-based therapy
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging, customized therapy plans for students
- Must be fully vaccinated to protect the health of an immunocompromised student
- Strong communication, organizational, and family collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to a student twice weekly (two 45-minute sessions) in the student’s home
- Assess speech, language, and communication abilities using a variety of assessment tools
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the student’s specific needs
- Collaborate with families to support the student’s progress and provide guidance for speech practice outside therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development and communicate regularly with support staff
