Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Palm Desert, CA

This is a full-time, contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year, designed for candidates who are open to a longer-term assignment and excited about making a difference onsite.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Holds SLP-CCC or eligible Clinical Fellow (CF); recent graduates welcome to apply
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred, though applications from monolingual candidates are encouraged
- Valid Certificate of Clearance (COC) necessary
- Experience in school-based settings, SEIS documentation, and/or familiarity with CA Medicaid (Paradigm) is highly desirable
- Comfortable with PreK populations and open to working across both mild-moderate and some severe needs, including use of AAC devices
- Candidates should be willing to consider an itinerant schedule, depending on assignment needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, prioritizing PreK ages
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEP goals
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with school, state, and federal requirements
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment and tailor communication strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student assessments and progress monitoring
- Travel between sites within the district as needed
