School Speech Language Pathologist - Oxnard, California
Experience the rewarding impact of supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving preschool students in a vibrant educational community near Oxnard, CA. This full-time contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through June 17, 2026, working with children ages 3-5 across multiple school sites.
Your role will focus on providing speech and language services to a caseload of up to 50 preschoolers, with the added benefit of another SLP onsite to collaborate with and share insights. The district values a multidisciplinary approach, as occupational therapy needs are present as well. You'll have the chance to support student growth during this crucial stage of development.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Active CA SLP licensure (CCC or CFY accepted) or SLPA credentials
- Background working in school or pediatric settings
- Strong knowledge of early childhood speech and language development
- Comfortable with direct services, IEPs, progress monitoring, and collaborating with educators and families
- Experience or interest in teletherapy is welcomed
- Ability to occasionally travel between school sites as needed
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments for preschool-age students
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Serving students at multiple locations within the district
- Tracking progress and maintaining thorough documentation
- Collaborating with a supportive team, including onsite SLPs and other therapists
