School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Oxnard, California
Step into a dynamic role supporting preschool students as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant at several school sites in the Oxnard, CA area. This full-time contract position serves young learners, ages 3-5, with a caseload of up to 50 students. Enjoy collaborating with another experienced SLP on site, creating a supportive environment as you help children build essential communication skills.
The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through June 17, 2026. You'll work across multiple campuses, providing services tailored to both individual and small group needs. The school community is collaborative and student-centered, with ongoing occupational therapy needs as well—making it a rich environment for those who love interdisciplinary teamwork.
Candidates skilled in any of the following will thrive here: SLP, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, SLP-Teletherapy, SLPA-School, or SLPA-Healthcare.
Qualifications we’re seeking:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or associate/bachelor’s for SLPA
- California SLP or SLPA license (or eligibility)
- Experience with preschool or early childhood populations preferred
- Comfort with caseload management and IEP documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Teletherapy experience welcomed but not required
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting screenings, assessments, and interventions with preschoolers
- Developing and implementing IEPs
- Collaborating with teachers, OTs, and families
- Utilizing creative and evidence-based therapy approaches
- Maintaining flexible service across multiple locations
