Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Oxnard, California
Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working full-time with preschool students ranging in age from 3 to 5 years old. This contract opportunity begins ASAP and is set through June 17, 2026, allowing you to make a lasting impact over multiple school years.
You’ll work across several school sites in a collaborative environment, managing a manageable caseload of up to 50 children. Benefit from a strong support system, with another experienced SLP on-site to help and share expertise. This role promises variety and teamwork, as your contribution extends alongside occupational therapy professionals addressing the broader needs of the student community.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active California SLP license or eligibility for the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Experience with pediatric and preschool populations
- Open to candidates with school-based, teletherapy, or healthcare backgrounds; SLPA applicants are also considered
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver individualized therapy for ages 3-5 in a school setting
- Coordinate with classroom teachers, parents, and fellow therapists for cohesive student support
- Maintain timely documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and IEP contributions
- Travel between school sites as needed
- Collaborate with occupational therapists to meet all students’ related service needs
Spring break is scheduled from March 30 to April 10, 2026, and flexibility is provided during this period. Interviews will be held via Google Meet next week, ensuring a streamlined selection process.
