Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure for the state of Maine (CCC certification preferred)
- Previous experience in a school setting or with preschool populations is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of around 25 students with varying speech and language needs
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in dynamic environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to preschool students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation
- Consult regularly with teachers, aides, and families to support student learning and success
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal writing, and share student progress updates with stakeholders
- Support a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning atmosphere tailored to early childhood development
Assignment Details:
- Contract position starting ASAP and continuing through the end of the school year
- 32 hours per week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance
- Manage a supportive and manageable preschool caseload
