School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Orting, Washington
Make a direct impact in the lives of students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist working full-time for the entire school year. This in-person position supports a vibrant K-12 population across three to four closely connected school sites, all conveniently within walking distance of each other near Orting, WA. You’ll engage directly with students and fellow professionals while providing essential support in speech and language development.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology (M.S.)
- Washington State SLP license and Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification (or eligibility to obtain ESA certification prior to enrichment days)
- New graduates considered; prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is a plus
- Basic computer proficiency preferred
- Familiarity with writing reports and IEPs is beneficial, but not required
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License may be necessary
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a diverse K-12 student population
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student success
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to progress reports
- Maintain thorough and organized records in accordance with school and state requirements
- Engage in professional development and stay current with best practices in pediatric and school-based speech therapy
