Step into an impactful role supporting middle school students’ communication skills for the 2026–2027 school year! A leading school district near Orlando, FL is urgently seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to serve grades 6–8. This on-site, full-time contract position spans one campus, allowing you to focus your expertise and make meaningful connections with students and staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid FL State Speech Language Pathology license
- SLP-CCC credential through ASHA
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Science Disorders, or a closely related field
- Prior experience providing services in a school setting preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of 60–65 students
- Availability for district-mandated background check, fingerprinting, and completion of all onboarding requirements by the start date
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative SLP services to students in grades 6–8, collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans targeting articulation, receptive/expressive language, and social communication needs
- Monitor student progress, adapt interventions, and maintain detailed documentation and compliance records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to creating inclusive learning environments
- Communicate effectively with faculty and parents to support student success
This full-time opportunity offers an immediate start, running through May 24, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 35 hours at a single middle school. The district is conducting interviews on September 8, 2026, between 12:00 and 1:30 PM—please provide your availability for this window.
