Support high school students and make an immediate impact by providing speech-language services in an engaging educational environment. This full-time, contract position offers you the opportunity to work closely with approximately 44 students in grades 9 through 12, split between two buildings in a vibrant school community. Your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will play a critical role in helping students develop their communication skills and achieve their academic goals.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state Speech-Language Pathology license
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to in-person services
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each student
- Provide one-on-one and small group speech-language therapy to high school students
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student progress and school participation
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of student evaluations, goals, and outcomes
- Travel between two nearby school buildings as needed to provide consistent and effective services
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to student learning strategies, and help foster a positive school environment
