Speech Language Pathologist in Orland Park, IL

This full-time, in-person contract opportunity offers the chance to work with approximately 44 students in grades 9 through 12 at two buildings conveniently located near Orland Park, IL. As a valued member of the special education team, you’ll deliver vital support and make a difference for students’ communication and academic growth.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license and PEL (Professional Educator License) required
- Prior experience with high school students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between two buildings as part of your daily responsibilities
- Motivation to work in a school-based environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students in grades 9-12
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective service delivery
- Consult on IEP teams, contributing expert input and progress reports
- Create engaging activities that foster student participation and development
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all school and district policies
This full-time position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, allowing for consistent engagement with students and staff. You’ll be splitting your time between two buildings, offering variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across different school communities.
