This full-time, in-person contract opportunity involves working with approximately 44 students in grades 9 through 12, dividing your week across two nearby school buildings. Your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will be highly valued in helping adolescents strengthen their language, speech, and social skills at a pivotal time in their academic journey.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Active SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Confident in providing services to high school-aged students
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and support teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to travel between two sites
- Passionate about fostering student growth and inclusivity
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative SLP services to students in accordance with IEPs
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment and therapy plans
- Conduct screenings and monitor progress, updating goals and documentation regularly
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support educational success
- Contribute to IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student advancement
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant records in line with school policies
