Step into a contract opportunity supporting students in the Adaptive Behavior Learning Environment (ABLE) program. Situated in a dynamic educational setting near Orland Park, IL, this full-time position offers consistent hours from 8:00am to 3:00pm, with a 32.5-hour work week and a half-hour unpaid lunch each day. You’ll play a key role in helping students achieve their communication and learning goals.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure for SLP and ASHA certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience providing speech and language services in school settings
- Familiarity with IEPs, assessments, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit
- Adaptability to work effectively with students in specialized learning environments or those with behavioral needs
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students within the ABLE program
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track students’ progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights to the educational planning process
