Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other specialists
- Organized, flexible, and comfortable managing diverse caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with a wide range of communication needs
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required by district and state regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on speech-language goals and progress
- Offer guidance and training to staff and family members regarding communication strategies
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
