Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Prior school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other specialists
  • Organized, flexible, and comfortable managing diverse caseloads

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with a wide range of communication needs
  • Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required by district and state regulations
  • Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on speech-language goals and progress
  • Offer guidance and training to staff and family members regarding communication strategies
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
