Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Illinois state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Open to both CFY candidates and CCC-SLPs
- ASHA certification or working towards certification
- Strong foundation in speech, language, and communication disorders across K-12 ages
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with educational teams
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in small groups, targeting a variety of communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to monitor progress and maximize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to regular team meetings
- Offer guidance and support to staff and families on communication strategies within the school environment
