Desired Background and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
  • Current or pending state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based SLP services
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Passion for working with diverse student populations

Role and Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and carry out individualized therapy plans for students in line with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation as required
  • Provide education and support to staff and families on communication strategies
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and school events as necessary
  • Stay current on best practices and evidence-based approaches in school speech therapy
