Candidates with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are sought to provide specialized services and guidance within a school environment, working alongside educators, administrators, and families toward student success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- Experience in school-based settings or pediatric populations preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to varied student needs
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and maintaining up-to-date documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a school setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the educational team
- Provide therapy sessions individually or in small groups to address students’ unique goals
- Maintain thorough documentation of progress and communicate updates to teachers, staff, and parents
- Contribute to IEP meetings and participate in interdisciplinary team planning
- Offer guidance and resources to parents and educators regarding communication development
