Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid SLP license for Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or pending CFY supervision
- Prior school-based experience with K-12 populations highly regarded
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to various age groups and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group speech-language therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress for a caseload of around 65 students
- Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and families to support student communication goals
- Attend IEP meetings, contribute to multidisciplinary teams, and provide training and resources as needed
- Maintain thorough records and comply with school and state guidelines
- Adapt to varying school schedules, with hours between 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM, based on school assignment
