Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Norristown, PA

Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting a middle school student with significant medical needs as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC). This contract role focuses on providing dedicated therapy to a bed-bound child within a supportive school environment, located just minutes west of Philly. Commitment to continuity of care is valued, with the need for a provider able to work through the end of the 2027 school year, and ideally beyond.
Key Qualifications:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Pennsylvania SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with medically fragile, bed-bound youth in a home or residential setting
- Expertise in developing adapted therapy plans
- Flexible, patient, and compassionate demeanor
- Team-oriented, able to collaborate with OT/PT and support consistent, interdisciplinary care
- For non-bilingual SLPs: Candidates are still encouraged to apply, as the district may contract a language interpreter if necessary
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to a middle school student with complex needs
- Adapt assessment and intervention strategies to a homebound, medically fragile context
- Collaborate with the student’s family, who are Spanish-speaking, as well as school-based OT and PT
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing planning for service hours and approaches
- Foster a supportive, trusting rapport through regular, long-term engagement
