Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting preschool-aged students with speech and language needs in a school-based setting near Newbury Park, CA. This full-time position runs from ASAP through June 17, 2026, giving you the chance to make a rewarding difference during the academic year, including collaboration over the busy spring break period from March 30 to April 10, 2026. With up to 50 children on your caseload, you’ll benefit from working alongside another experienced SLP for support and knowledge sharing across multiple school sites.
What we’re looking for:
- Active California SLP licensure or eligibility—CCC or CFY welcome
- Previous experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare speech-language pathology
- SLPA with school or healthcare background can be considered
- Familiarity with teletherapy tools and strategies is advantageous
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Comfort working with preschool-aged students (ages 3-5)
- Willingness to work with Occupational Therapists, as the school has OT needs too
What you’ll do:
- Provide direct services and therapy to a caseload of up to 50 preschool-aged students across several school sites
- Complete assessments, IEPs, and progress reports according to school and district standards
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, SLP team members, and related service providers
- Support the development of communication skills in young learners using evidence-based practices
- Participate in Google Meet interviews and virtual meetings as needed
