School Speech Language Pathologist - Newbury Park, CA
Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California. This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for those passionate about early childhood development and making a lasting impact on preschool-aged children, ages 3-5. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 17, 2026, you’ll join a dedicated team across multiple school sites in the Newbury Park area.
You’ll work closely with another experienced Speech-Language Pathologist already on campus, offering you collaboration and support. The caseload includes up to 50 students, providing plenty of opportunities to put your expertise into action and see real growth. Additionally, the school community recognizes the value of related disciplines, and there are also occupational therapy needs among students, opening avenues for interdisciplinary teamwork.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active California SLP license, Clinical Fellow (CFY) or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience in school settings and with preschool populations
- Ability to manage a caseload of up to 50 children, ages 3-5
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is an asset
- SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) and healthcare experience valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and provide direct therapy to preschool students
- Collaborate with fellow SLPs and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Communicate effectively with families and participate in team meetings
- Support integration with OT services as needed for student success
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
