Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Newbury Park, California
Step into an impactful opportunity supporting preschool-aged learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time position, commencing as soon as possible and extending through June 17, 2026, brings you into a collaborative educational environment serving children ages 3 to 5 across multiple school sites. With up to 50 students on your caseload and another SLP on-site, you’ll have essential support as you make a tangible difference in the early communication skills of young children.
Ideal candidates are skilled in SLP, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, SLP-Pediatrics, school-based or healthcare SLP, teletherapy, and SLPA work (both school and healthcare). Here’s what we’re seeking:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active California SLP license or SLPA credential, or eligibility for such
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience with pediatric and early childhood populations
- Capable of supporting students with diverse communication needs, both in-person and via teletherapy
- Strong collaboration and organizational skills for working across sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment to preschool students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Manage a caseload of up to 50 children, tailoring IEP goals and therapy plans accordingly
- Collaborate with another SLP and engage with occupational therapy needs on campus
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to advance student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
- Leverage teletherapy tools as needed
