This contract role will cover a maternity leave, starting September 14th and extending through the end of November. With a consistent 37.5-hour workweek and a focused caseload of 50-60 elementary students, your days will be filled with opportunities to collaborate with educators, implement effective treatment plans, and empower students to achieve their communication goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license in Louisiana
- ASHA CCCs preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply
- School-based experience strongly valued
- Ability to work onsite at Schaumberg Elementary
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success
- Deliver evidence-based therapy in individual and group settings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing student progress evaluations
