Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Valid state licensure or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based settings
- Proficient assessment and intervention skills for articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic/social communication
- Excellent rapport-building and communication abilities with children, families, and staff
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders among students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with students’ IEPs/504 Plans
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy within classrooms or dedicated spaces
- Monitor student progress, write clear progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other specialists to support academic and social-emotional growth
- Provide education and resources to staff and parents to reinforce therapy strategies
