- Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in a school setting with high school-aged students is highly preferred
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload, with flexibility for both full- and part-time schedules (full-time caseload maxes at 60, anticipate starting at about 30)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- SLPA and CF not eligible
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing assessments, direct therapy, and ongoing support to high school students with a wide range of speech and language needs
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Timely and accurate completion of required documentation and student progress monitoring
- Participating in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development
- Advocating for students’ communication needs within the school environment
This contract position features a schedule of 7:55 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. during the school week, with a 37.5 hour maximum (flexible part-time options available). The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through May 28, 2026. You’ll be working within a supportive district in a highly collaborative setting, making a real impact in students’ educational journeys.
