Speech Language Pathologist in Aurora, IL
Step into a dynamic high school environment where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist can make a meaningful impact. Whether you want to maximize your hours or balance work with other commitments, this role adapts to your schedule within regular staff hours of 7:55 AM to 3:25 PM.
You’ll work with high school students, starting with a manageable caseload of around 30, which may grow up to a maximum of 60 if you opt for full-time hours. You’ll collaborate with a supportive school staff, offering speech and language services in a vibrant educational setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current IL state SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- CCC-SLP certification required
- Prior experience delivering SLP services in school settings, ideally at the high school level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering student progress and success
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in high school students
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support each student’s goals
- Deliver therapy through engaging, evidence-based practices—no VOCO/virtual therapy
- Maintain compliance with state and district policies
