Your role will involve delivering high-quality speech-language services in a dynamic school setting, working 37.5 hours per week. During the interview process, your campus and caseload (K-6 or K-8) will be shaped according to your strengths, interests, and preferences, allowing you to bring out the best in every student you serve.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Illinois SLP license or eligibility
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or actively pursuing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- School-based SLP experience is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and individualized needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide speech/language therapy to students in K-6 or K-8
- Develop, monitor, and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment focused on student progress
