You'll have the chance to work closely with a caseload that will start around 30 students, potentially growing to a maximum of 60 if working full time. District hours run 7:55 AM to 3:25 PM, and staff scheduling can be adapted for part-time needs as well.
Your expertise as an SLP with CCCs and your dedication to school-based practice will help foster students’ communication abilities, impacting their overall achievement and confidence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based experience preferred, particularly with high school aged students
- Skilled with both assessment and intervention planning
- Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Organized, flexible, and student-centered
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Facilitate group and one-on-one therapy sessions
- Track student progress, maintaining detailed records
- Participate in team meetings with educators and families
- Contribute to a positive, supportive school climate
