Speech Language Pathologist in Aurora, IL
Exciting opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about making a difference in high school settings. This contract-based role is ideal for SLPs eager to engage with students and collaborate within a dedicated educational team. The assignment starts as soon as possible and extends through May 28, 2026, with the flexibility for both full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week) and part-time schedules, offering a balance for various lifestyle needs. The daily schedule follows standard school staff hours, from 7:55 AM to 3:25 PM.
As a valued member working with high school-aged students, you will manage a caseload that begins around 30 students, with a full-time maximum of 60. This position provides excellent variety and ongoing professional development within a supportive atmosphere.
Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois SLP licensure and Professional Educator License (PEL) required (please include a screenshot with submission)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Prior school-based experience, especially with high school students, is advantageous
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat high school students with communicative disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs, participate in meetings, and consult with families and staff
- Provide both direct and indirect therapy, aligned with best practices and district protocols
- Maintain compliance with documentation and reporting as required by state and district guidelines
