A dynamic opportunity awaits a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about supporting high school students’ communication and academic growth. This contract position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time work, aligning with your needs while making an impact in an energetic school environment. The assignment runs through the end of May 2026, ensuring stability and the chance to develop strong rapport with students.

You’ll work with an engaging and diverse high school population, managing a caseload that starts at approximately 30 students and may increase to a maximum of 60 if working full-time. Your day will begin at 7:55 AM and conclude at 3:25 PM, giving you time to keep your work-life balance in check. Candidates must hold an active Illinois license and Professional Educator License (PEL).

Qualifications:

  • Active IL Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
  • High school experience and school-based practice highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • No SLPA or CF supervision permitted

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Conduct assessments and provide direct speech/language therapy
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and progress reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student success
  • Attend IEP meetings and participate in team decision-making
  • Navigate a dynamic caseload, responding to the needs of high school students
