School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Joliet, Illinois

Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC required)
- Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience in a high school or school-based setting preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of up to 60 students if full-time (part-time starts around 30)
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and student-centered interventions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders among high school students
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
- Provide direct therapy, consultation, and support for students, staff, and families
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district standards and legal compliance
- Attend IEP meetings, contributing SLP-specific expertise
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to support students’ academic and social growth
Additional Details:
- Contract duration through late May 2026
- 37.5 hours per week maximum, with daily hours from 7:55 AM to 3:25 PM
- Flexible part-time arrangements available if a reduced caseload is preferred
- Position exclusively for licensed SLPs with CCC; no SLPA or CF candidates
