An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make a meaningful impact with high school students in a supportive educational setting. This contract position offers the flexibility to accommodate both full-time and part-time schedules, ensuring work-life balance tailored to your needs. With a maximum caseload of 60 and a starting assignment of approximately 30 students, you'll be able to provide individualized attention and care.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in high school settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Must be adept at working independently and as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team
- Only licensed SLPs considered (no SLPAs or CFs)
- Proficiency with IEP documentation and school-based therapy models
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in high school-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other related service providers to support academic and functional success
- Maintain detailed, compliant documentation of student progress
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and student conferences
- Contribute to positive learning environments throughout the assigned school
