Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational environment. This contract role is ideal for a dedicated SLP with the CCC credential and experience or interest in school-based practice. The assignment offers both full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week) and part-time flexibility, with staff hours from 7:55 AM to 3:25 PM, allowing you to balance professional commitments with life outside of work.

You’ll start with a caseload of approximately 30 students, potentially increasing to a maximum of 60 with a full-time schedule. In this setting, you’ll have the chance to make a direct impact on students’ communication skills and confidence as they prepare for the transition to life beyond high school.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting, preferably with high school students
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and student-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services for students with speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Deliver direct therapy and consultative support to students, teachers, and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as appropriate
