What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Illinois SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before start)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
  • Experience or strong interest working with a diverse pediatric school-age population
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and compliance with school documentation requirements
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Role responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and IEP goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech/language interventions in classroom and individual settings
  • Maintain clear, timely documentation of sessions, progress, and required reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
