Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Joliet, IL

As an on-site contract SLP, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting children’s communication goals and contributing to positive educational outcomes throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status welcome
- Experience or strong interest in pediatrics, especially in school environments
- Confident evaluating, diagnosing, and treating various speech and language disorders
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a valued member of a collaborative team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions (individual or group) within the school environment
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
- Educate staff and families about communication strategies to support student success
- Adapt therapy materials for diverse student needs and classroom settings
