An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support to a 9th-grade student located in a Salt Lake City facility. This position requires six hours of speech therapy per week for the next six weeks, helping the student achieve their communication goals by the end of the semester. The role is open to virtual delivery, giving you the flexibility to offer services remotely while supporting the student’s educational success.
Qualifications:
- Valid Utah Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and virtual service delivery
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams and caregivers
Responsibilities:
- Deliver six hours weekly of speech-language therapy to a 9th-grade student
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Document sessions thoroughly in accordance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate with special education staff and caretakers to ensure integrated support
- Adjust intervention strategies to align with student needs and therapy goals
- Utilize engaging virtual tools and digital resources to enhance therapy sessions
