Make a difference in students’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with middle and high school populations in the Houston area’s southwest region. This full-time, contract opportunity offers direct involvement with students across grades 6 through 8 and 10 through 12, allowing you to tailor your assignment based on your preferred age group. You’ll join a supportive environment that is considerate of your location when assigning school sites, making your experience as smooth as possible.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Texas SLP licensure (FL license also accepted); include a copy when applying
- Open to Clinical Fellowship Year candidates and experienced SLPs
- Previous school-based experience is an advantage but not required
- Ability to complete district fingerprinting requirements (if not already in the system)
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide the full scope of SLP duties, including therapy, ARDs, assessments, and testing
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50–60 students
- Serve middle and/or high school students, based on preference
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in IEP/ARD meetings
- Maintain all required documentation and progress reports
- Option available for those interested in SLP supervision only
