Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Missouri City, TX
Step into a dynamic educational environment in the southwest Houston area by providing your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This full-time, on-site opportunity allows you to work directly with middle and/or high school students (grades 6-8 or 10-12), supporting their communication and language development. Enjoy the structure of a contract assignment starting August 11, 2026 and finishing May 26, 2027, with a steady weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
Preferred candidates will bring a passion for student success, adaptability in managing a caseload of 50-60, and experience conducting a wide scope of SLP responsibilities, including direct therapy, ARD meeting participation, and evaluation/testing services. Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Texas SLP license and Florida licensure (Visual proof of current licenses required)
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
- Comfort working with students grades 6-8 and/or 10-12
- Skilled in delivering the full range of school-based SLP services (therapy, ARDs, evaluations)
- Completion of fingerprinting/background checks per district requirements (prior prints may be valid)
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech and language interventions for student caseload
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP/ARD meetings
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to foster student progress
- Adapt services to meet diverse student needs in assigned schools
