School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Mission Viejo, California
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across preschool, elementary, and middle school settings in the lively San Juan Capistrano area. We’re seeking three energetic Speech-Language Pathologists for full-time assignments, each serving students on a leave-of-absence (LOA) coverage basis. Each SLP will manage an average caseload of about 55 students and play a vital role in helping children succeed academically and socially.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active California SLP licensure is required
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric speech therapy settings highly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Skills in providing both direct and consultative SLP services
- Enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations from preschool through middle school
Role details and responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication interventions to assigned students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school specialists to monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete required reports in compliance with school and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for student planning
- Serve at one of three schools within the San Juan Capistrano community
- Adapt interventions for multiple age groups and varying student needs
This position is full-time (Monday–Friday) with assignments that may extend through the end of the academic year, offering stability and the opportunity to see your students’ growth firsthand.
