A school district in Melvindale, MI is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity serving elementary-aged students in a collaborative school environment.
Position Details
- Location: Melvindale, MI
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5-40 hours per week
- Contract Dates: August 25, 2026 - June 18, 2027
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:25 PM
- Setting: Onsite
- School: Elementary (K-3rd Grade)
Caseload
- Approximately 40-45 students
- Caseload may grow throughout the year with new evaluations
- Caseload will not exceed 60 students
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students
- Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings with families and school staff
- Consult with teachers and staff regarding interventions and accommodations
- Serve as a MET team member and case manager
- Maintain accurate service logs, documentation, and compliance records
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Michigan SLP license
- ASHA CCCs preferred
- School-based experience preferred
