A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide speech therapy services for private school students and homeschoolers near Mansfield, TX. This rewarding contract role runs from early August through early June, focusing mainly on elementary-aged students with articulation goals.
Expect a manageable caseload—last year involved about seven students, typically served one-on-one or in small groups. The majority of sessions are scheduled on select Wednesdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, with eight sessions in the first semester and 8-10 in the second semester. There is scheduling flexibility to accommodate your availability.
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress
- Hold or eligible for appropriate state licensure
- Experience in pediatric, school, or healthcare SLP settings, especially working with elementary students
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, goal-setting, and articulation therapy
- Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic, diverse caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and develop individualized speech goals for each student
- Plan and deliver targeted therapy sessions at a local elementary school for both private school and homeschooled children
- Provide engaging, evidence-based speech therapy, individually or in pairs
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and communicate with caregivers as needed
