Key qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure or eligibility
- CCC-SLP credential, or candidates actively pursuing CFY welcomed
- Experience in K-12 school settings, especially with low incidence populations, preferred
- Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable developing IEPs and participating in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Effective communication with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to high school students in low incidence programs
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, paraprofessionals, and families to support generalization of skills
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, creating measurable and relevant therapy goals
- Maintain clear and compliant records on student progress
- Adapt approaches based on student needs, latest research, and best practices
