Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload of students
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings to determine speech-language needs
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with educators and families
- Maintain accurate progress documentation in compliance with district and legal standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development initiatives
- Offer consultative support to teaching staff and parents regarding language and communication strategies
