Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive elementary school environment. This position focuses on serving students from preschool through fifth grade, providing essential speech-language services within a collaborative educational setting. The assignment spans from early October through late May, offering the unique opportunity to work 3-4 days per week while still maintaining flexibility and work-life balance. Both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFs) are welcome to apply.
Key Qualifications:
- Current or pending license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in West Virginia
- Willingness to consider SLP-CF candidates with strong reference and internship experience
- Knowledge of effective intervention strategies for elementary-aged students
- Skilled in conducting evaluations, developing IEP goals, and documenting outcomes
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities for working with students, educators, and families
Role Highlights:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students, focusing on individual strengths and challenges
- Assess and document student progress using evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement IEPs
