Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Madison, IL
Exciting opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to make a difference in the lives of elementary students! This full-time, contract position offers the chance to support young learners by providing high-quality speech and language services within a welcoming school community near Madison, IL.
As part of a supportive network of campuses closely situated within blocks of each other, you'll serve a manageable caseload—last year’s numbers averaged around 23 students, primarily within the elementary age range, with a few students located at neighboring sites. Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active SLP license or eligibility in Illinois (ASHA CCC preferred; CFY candidates encouraged)
- Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare-focused speech-language pathology
- Familiarity with elementary educational environments
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Collaborative mindset for working with teachers, staff, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and provide direct therapy for students with speech and language needs
- Support inclusion and academic success for students receiving SLP services
- Maintain organized caseload records, progress notes, and service logs
- Travel between campuses (short distance) as needed to provide consistent support
- Consult with educators and families on student progress and intervention strategies
