Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in East Saint Louis, IL

Ideal candidates possess:
- Current or in-progress Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP settings, preferably working with elementary school populations
- Ability to design and implement individualized speech-language therapy services for a diverse caseload (approximately 23 students)
- Strong skills in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, parents, and educational staff
- Adaptability to provide services across multiple nearby campus locations, with minimal travel between sites
- Effective communication and documentation abilities
Role responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct therapy and assessment services to elementary students, tailoring interventions to meet IEP goals
- Managing a manageable caseload distributed primarily at one site, with some students at nearby buildings within a few blocks
- Developing and maintaining IEP documentation, progress notes, and communication with stakeholders
- Attending and contributing to team meetings, IEP reviews, and parent conferences
- Flexibly adjusting start times according to scheduled sessions and service delivery needs; typical hours are 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, totaling 7.5 hours each day
- Supporting a positive and inclusive learning environment, advocating for students’ communication needs
