Ideal qualifications and experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; valid state licensure or eligibility
- CCC or CFY welcome—supervision and mentorship available
- Experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) required
- Prior school-based SLP experience or strong clinical practicum in school settings preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, aides, and other related service staff
- Strong communication, documentation, and organization skills
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in elementary grades, including intensive support for autism classrooms
- Implement AAC strategies and individualized communication supports
- Complete student assessments, evaluations, and therapy documentation
- Engage families and educators to support student progress and generalization of skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative planning
- Foster positive, inclusive learning environments and monitor student progress toward established goals
