Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Gurnee, IL
Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ communication growth in a vibrant school setting near Gurnee, IL. With this contract position, you’ll provide in-person speech and language services, helping students reach their fullest potential alongside a collaborative special education team. This assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through June 4th, 2027, offering the chance to contribute impactfully for the full school year and beyond.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Demonstrated experience working in school-based SLP roles.
- Ability to commit to onsite work for 35 hours per week (hours are fixed and cannot be increased).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for supporting diverse student populations.
- Excellent organization and documentation abilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in alignment with student IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multi-disciplinary team members to foster student success.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services and progress.
- Support students across elementary and secondary settings, helping them build essential communication skills.
- Serve as a positive resource and advocate for students and families.
