School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Waukegan, Illinois

This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 4th, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 35 hours. Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Hold active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience in school-based SLP roles highly preferred
- Solid understanding of relevant IEP and documentation processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with educational staff and families
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a defined caseload efficiently
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, onsite speech and language therapy to a diverse student population
- Conduct evaluations, interpret assessment data, and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ communication goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide clear progress reports, and maintain detailed documentation
- Assist with transitioning caseloads from virtual to in-person care, ensuring minimal disruption in student support
- Offer strategies and resources for both staff and parents to reinforce communication skills outside of therapy sessions
