Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply
- Previous experience within a school setting highly valued
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Strong commitment to student success and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions in individual or small group formats
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, IEP goals, and reports
- Serve as a resource to parents, teachers, and staff, offering strategies to support student achievement
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and advocacy for students’ speech and language needs
- Stay current with best practices in speech therapy through ongoing professional development
