School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Long Beach, California

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist in the greater Long Beach & LA area! This contract position offers a fulfilling opportunity to support and empower children across multiple school sites throughout the academic year.
You’ll work on-site with students ranging in age and needs, managing caseloads of approximately 55-60 while benefiting from the support of designated case managers at each campus—your focus remains on the best in speech and language therapy. This position may involve up to four different schools, averaging around two.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid, current CA SLP license
- Either a preliminary or clear SLP credential or Certificate of Clearance on file
- ASHA CCC or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFs considered if supervision is arranged)
- Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills
- Professionalism and adaptability to work itinerantly across school sites
- Willingness to work a full-time schedule (7:30am-4:00pm, 40 hours per week)
- Must be available for on-site work; no virtual options
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to diverse caseloads of students
- Conduct thorough assessments (assessment material costs will be reimbursed up to $2,500)
- Collaborate with existing case managers and educational staff on IEP supports
- Maintain thorough documentation and support student progress, without case management duties
- Engage families and other professionals for comprehensive interventions
